Ordered an RTIC 20 in tan....

Finally got notice he other day my cooler shipped that I ordered back in October.

Received this today

Now obviously I got a bargain on a 45, but it's not really what I wanted, it's comical

45=20? They are getting them out so fast, what do you expect? Well, nice cooler. I bet you can get the 20 next year for nearly $0 if you sell the 45! I'm in.

My debacle, a 45 would be good at times, but another item to store when not needed, funny thing is the tan 20 actually has a decent lead time right now, shorter than most other sizes even in white, I'm thinking on it

  • My Rtic 45 arrived before my 20.  Now I have to look at the box to see if it was suppose to have been the 20.

I'd consider that a gift brother!  The RTIC 45 is awesome.

I think over the 3 month wait the 20qt just grew a little and now it's a 45qt.lol
The $25 price difference would not be worth the shipping fees for RTIC to swap the coolers. It's a win for you and a break even for RTIC who made the mistake. In fact, keeping the 45qt might save RTIC money over the exchange.
    Thank you,

I was given the gift of a Yeti softside 20quart. and I don't think I'll ever use my rtic 20 again.  It's just so much easier to manage the softside cooler.  The 45 is my favorite size.

Love my Hopper 30.  Perfect for a few days.  I use it way more than any of my hard coolers.  Yeti is now releasing a Hopper 40.

a few days?????? you must live in the arctic. mine does not hold ice for sh!t.

If I had paid $350 for one, I would be so pissed off. Might be the worst soft side cooler I've ever had.

Nope, not the arctic.  70 degrees. Works great for parties, picnics, beach days, etc.

I wouldn't pack a bunch of meat for days.

Brother Tex, if you will sit the Yeti inside of a RTIC, it will keep ice for days ;)

yeah- but none of those are "a few days". I can keep ice 24 hrs in sub 85 degree weather but it's not anything like they claim it to be. I was really disappointed in the ice retention and how hard it is to get stuff in and out. In the summer here, it's more like 6-8 hrs and you are down to zero ice. My $49 polar bear is 4x that.

Yeah, access is a straight up pain in the hiney.  It does not compare to a roto-mold, but my luck has been great with it.

I figure it was cheaper than my wifes purses and way more useful.

Has anybody else received their RTIC lately?  Mine is scheduled due in a couple of weeks and I haven't heard or seen anybody post receiving one lately.  I'm expecting the date to get bumped back again.  :s

All you can do is keep your fingers crossed.
Seems like the bump times are are getting shorter and shorter.
I have all 3 of mine.
    Take care.

Both mine where scheduled this week (65/20 in tan). I got them a week-half-ago.

With that I do have the Hopper 30. It does fine for us. I use a frozen gallon of water in mine and will stay cool for a few days.

I got my RTIC 20, which I ordered in August, in January.  I just put it through some Mardi Gras paces as my back porch cooler.  I loaded it up with beer Friday, and reiced it on Saturday morning (because the beer that I put in was warm).  So with a pre-chilled cooler, I'm still going strong today, Mardi Gras afternoon.  Nice mixture of ice and slush.  This is with opening it for beer about three times a day.

(I also have my home-base parade cooler (Ice Cube), my soft pelican cooler (for moblity) and a back up wheeled cooler and two other igloos that have beer for emergencies.

I just emptied the emergency coolers and now I have a bit of a beer dilemma on my hands.
