Why don't we offer a couple of other userids as sacrifices.  Or trade two pain in the b_tt users to HQ, sorta like a trade to Iran for hostages.  I can think of one or two I'd trade.  

I'd had my run ins with nola, but as a fellow Porsche owner, I must protest his banishment.  Suspend for a day or 3 but not forever.    Nola ist zehr gut mit bbq.

Sounds like a plan to me brother. As of late I have been easing back into drinking. I guess it's the holidays and all. I use to really love it. I think part of me still does

Just my one and a half cents.  I saw a kid in Target earlier tonight who had his skinny jeans pulled down below his butth0le, underwear completely exposed (we actually observed bare legs between the bottom of his underwear and the belt buckle), sporting a mohawk and tank top.  I turned to my wife and said, "how can it be legal for someone to expose their underweared butts like that in front of everyone?  The little girl in line behind him should not have to see that.  Her parents simply needed to go to Target.  And now their baby girl had to see that."

My point is.... Just because you CAN post stuff that is controversial or R-rated, does it really need to happen?  Does it really serve a true purpose?  Or is it just because you may wanna "make a funny", be fashionable, or get a rise outta someone?  We are all adults on this forum, and some of us have family and kids looking in.  This is a forum about a shared interest in the Big Green Egg, and not all of us want to participate in political/religious debates or even racial/sexual references in a post originally intended to be BBQ or BGE related. 

Forget the political correctness bullcrap -- Whatever happened to simple good old fashioned manners?  Or are manners a thing of the past?  Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a joke as much as any of you...  But when the forum becomes a tangled mess of rude, indecent to most, vulgar jargon...  maybe it could be toned down a bit?   LOL.  Political correctness is different than common sense manners.

@Dyal_SC, I have to agree.  However fun and games are also ok.  The vulgarity and pornosity (not a real word) have nothing to do with BBQ. That said, freedom of speech is kinda special.  There will be times we're made uncomfortable.  We post on and view this forum to learn about and post about all things BBQ and charcuterie.  However, other prescient topics will arise, if nothing else than for distraction.  Guns, politics, the speed of light.  I'm with you in that BBQ should be the focus.  But fun should be there too.  You've seen my threads regarding concealed carry weapons and gun safe zones.  They are "Off Topic" threads that belong here.  The vulgar stuff, uh, sometimes it's funny but I get your point, I could do without it.  But the whole forum, is awesome.  And as much as @nolaegghead and I disagree on politics, we have great fun chatting about our Porsches,  Can you tell I'm babysitting a brisket?
