Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

I guess wiki is the gospel now. Walmart flat out is a shareholder owned public company as is all publicly traded companies. The Walton family may be majority shareholders and have a controlling interest in Wally World but that doesn't diminish the 48% ownership of the company owned by other shareholders.

I know where you can shove that sad trombone. -
If yall listen to the cole slaw song it will put you in a better mood. I promise.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

You are still wrong. Walmart is a publicly traded company and just because the waltons and their foundations own 52% of the shares making them the majority shareholder, doesn't make Walmart a family owned business. For some reason you are not recognizing the ownership rights of the other shareholders that own 48%? Joe's Produce down the street from is a family owned business but no way is Walmart.Joe - I'm a reformed gasser-holic aka 4Runner Columbia, SC Wonderful BGE Resource Site: http://www.nakedwhiz.com/ceramicfaq.htm and http://www.nibblemethis.com/ and http://playingwithfireandsmoke.blogspot.com/2006/02/recipes.html

Le Sigh. Which is greater? 52% or 48%?
The group controlling majority shares at a publicly traded company is the de facto owner.
@DoubleEgger while all shareholders get to stand at the mic during the annual shindig, public companies act as a democracy and majority rules. I fear we are arguing over semantics. I don't think the sad trombone needs to be shoved anywhere, that would hurt! -
My apologies @Eggcelsior. I thought Nola had posted that earlier hence my remark.

Back to the coleslaw.... I'll bet the replacement will be sweet potato.
Not it a coleslaw fan, not a sweet tater fan either. So I really don't care.
