Anyone done any cold smoked mushrooms?

My BIL is coming up from NOLA today, and asked me to cold smoke some mushrooms. I have had experience in my younger days with mushrooms on cold days, but were not of the type he wishes to use in the recipe.
Any suggestions or ideas to get this done?
Thank you in advance for your guidance on this one.

Never thought about cold smoking, however I like to take 2" baby portobellos take the stem and gills, chop with onion, garlic chives saute in butter. when sauteed mix in softened cream cheesed and cook on BGE for about 15-20 minutes with various wood for smoke and they make a great appeteasr or side for a steak.

This is the best I can do. I got a tin can, a wood burner tool, an aluminum pan filled with Ice.
smoke woot and burner in the can that formerly held chicken stock, plugged the burner in, set the aluminum pan filled with Ice over the can with the smoldering wood, and so of botch, it works!
using my old broke down Webber

Reminds me, there used to be a local guy out in the country here that converted an old barn into growing oyster mushrooms. It was 2 or 3 stories tall of mushrooms! He sold them all wholesale. You could go in there and for 5 or 10 dollars get a HUGE box of them.1MBGE 2006, 1LBGE 2010, 1 Mini Max, Fathers Day 2015
