Time Travel and Alcohol

Sitting here by the fire with the wife. Been under the weather today. Those of you who are self employed will understand, you only get sick when you finally get time off. Today is my first day off in months, i only worked four hours

sat by the fire, wife gave me a scotch and put a blanket on me and told me to try to sleep.

Well. The five scotches really helped clear my head. I asked the wife who was going to pick up the older boy, because I am in no condition to drive and "it has to be getting on to ten o'clock" (when he needs to be picked up).

Apparently it's only 7:00. Still a half hour til 'Jeopardy' even.

Recipe for time travel:
Cold virus+dayquil+relaxing fire+10oz of Islay Scotch

(rough calcs seem to imply that 5oz scotch=1.5hr time travel into the past). More testing req'd

I am going to have another, and try to post again, but an hour earlier. Wish me luck

    What's the scotch?
  • Laphroaig. I like it because the taste reminds me of cigarettes and burnt vinyl.

sure you're just not sitting too close to the fire,  Jeff?
  • It's got a lot of phenols, and is maybe the smokiest of the peaty Islay single malts.

Been described as smelling 'like a burning hospital'

    definitely an acquired taste

  • According to my drunx-capacitor, it's now 5:30. But I am not sure if it's A.M. or P.M.

    More testing required

Love me some Laphroaig. When you order it in Scotland, they know you appreciate scotch

Today is my first day off in months,
I feel your pain. I started night shift on 7/28/15 and have only had a 1/2 a shift off since. Have been bounced from Mid Bay port to the spool base to Devils Tower platform out in the gulf over and over with no relief in sight until mid November. I may try your time travel concoction and see if I can go back a few months in time. If it works, I will not hire in on this job again. I will stay home and cook =)

Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

    Status- Standing by.

  • Funny observation. I will back your story up, years ago a friend and I jumped in on a quart of damson plum moonshine. After it was gone and a friend was driving us home my buddy saw it was 6:45 and said "God #%^*! I have to be at work in 15 minutes." I told him it was 6:45 in the evening, he said "Thank God." It was 20 years ago and we still laugh about his time travel.

  • It's now 11:15, but the sun is still out. One of us is behind twelve hours. Or ahead. Paranoia setting in. Also, someone drank half my bottle of Laphroaig and had a fire in my fire place.

I see Buffalo Bills are tanking it hard, per usual, so the space-time-continuum appears to still be ok.

Will report more from future when able.

Nothing wrong here, you've just become unstuck in time.
    Love you bro!

Rex will blame the loss on the fact that they had to travel to England.

There's a sign over my front door that says "Laughter House Five". Not sure what to make of it.

My favorite Islay Scotch Whisky would have to be Bowmore. I hope you feel better.
