Simple Chicken Dinner

in Poultry
Cooked some bone-in skin-on chicken thighs for dinner. Dusted with kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and a little corn starch. Cooked indirect at 350° for around an hour and a half to an IT of 180-190.
Served with a side of asparagus, red okra, and roasted potatoes. Cooked the red okra and asparagus along with the chicken for the last 30 minutes (after the chicken reached safe levels).
Simple but tasty!

Good looking cook.Coleman, Texas
Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

I've never done red okra (don't think it is a controlled substance) Did you oil it, season it, how long typically to cook?
Thighs look awesome.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad! -
Very nice. I've only done green okra on the egg. Is there a taste difference between the colors?-----------------------------------------analyze adapt overcome2008 -Large BGE. 2013- Small BGE and 2015 - Mini. Henderson, Ky.

Sorry for the late reply, I didn't notice any difference between the two. Consistency, texture, and taste seemed to be the same.LBGE 2015 - Atlanta -

Olive Oil, kosher salt, and pepper. I let it cook for 30 minutes, raised indirect.LBGE 2015 - Atlanta
