Saturday Sausage & Peppers

Going really easy today... didn't get any sleep till late this morning after a brutal overnight of on call, each call stupider than the last.

Just going to do some grilled Italian sausage & peppers today... and have a few ice cold beers.

Unless of course the phone starts ringing (looking desperately for a piece of wood to knock on)

Thanks... I just browned the sausage, since they will finish in the veggies and beer. They'll be in the pans for about 1-1/2 hours at least. Indirect at about 275°

Just beer... Just enough to come up about halfway up the pan.  Cook and enjoy brother, you don't need my permission LOL

Made this last night - Thanks @hapsterfor the idea and instruction.  It was pretty simple, but tasted great.  Even better this morning after sitting for a while.

Note to self - my new ceramic lasagna pan doesn't like smoke...



Thankfully the girlfriend wasn't too mad about the pan, and whipped up some brownies for desert.



Ok, if that last one was true I wouldn't have been cooking for 2 1/2 hrs.

Last time for sausage and peppers I did the lettuce wrap thing instead of a bun.   little healthier and harder to handle but worthwhile alternative.
