The first step to recovery is recognizing you are powerless over your addiction

I posted earlier today that I was at a meat market that seems very involved in the BGE world.  Turns out they claim to sell more eggs that anyone in the state.  They are the owner/organizers of the SouthEast Egg fest that takes place in April.

There was a demo going on by a gentleman that owns his own rub/spice company and after trying each of the three, I bought them.

Then I went into the store.  Not big by any standards, but seem to have everything for BGE.  And their meat counters were varied and looked very good.

So my visit put a dent in the ATM card, to say the least.  I did not buy anything that I had not previously considered, but it was all there and I could take it home with me.  And no shipping charges.  Prices were fair and in fact less than some I had seen for the products on line.

So I came home with all of this, plus the requisite BGE Egghead Hat.

Made another stop on the way home to pick up a few things to cook.

12 lbs of baby back ribs
15 lb Boston Butt
2 Whole Chickens - for spatchcock
4 really good looking Ribeye's - the grill is heating up now.

I bought the Lane's Ancho Rub for the ribeye's.  It came highly recommended and I obviously into trying new things at this point.

As I said, I appear to be powerless over my newest addiction, but at least I recognize it.

Titusville, Fl. and just bought XL and Med BGE.  "Every Day is A Bonus" in my world, and my job is to choke the life out of them. Cancer Sucks.

Your thread title answered all you need to know.  But you will eventually accumulate enough of the "stuff" that you will then head down the side road-cooler, tumblers, bourbon, scotch, SRF and so many more options to take any discretionary income and beyond.  This is just the way it is..."Sit back, relax and enjoy participating in the show".  Your life will be forever changed-YMMV-

Nice haul @Sonny3 !  Looks like you ran into @Nuke1855 with Caribeque. :)  I've been blown away with his seasonings so far.  He puts out some great stuff.  I have all four of his seasonings in my cabinet right now.  BTW, the Island Thyme is phenomenal on corn, shrimp and Lowcountry Boil.

Nice haul @Sonny3.  I see you got a couple SS caps, my dealer aren't able to sell them based on what their deal with BGE, but then I see others that sell them.  I don't understand why, it seems like a cool accessory to have for the egg.  Enjoy the haul.
