I have been running the odds with a crappy thermometer for a long time. Im pretty decent at the finger test for steaks but i finally overcooked some nice porterhouses and that was it. New TP on the way. I KNOW I KNOW. It should have been my first accessory. But i cook a lot by feel and i enjoy just knowing by my senses when its done. Tonight i lost the battle.

Scottie, I don't miss the mark too often. But tonight just irked me. The crappy thermometer was a gift so i just kept plugging. But just like with equipment that needs constant tinkering i finally had enough.Columbus, Ohio--A Gasser filled with Matchlight and an Ugly Drum.
