  • Does anyone have a recipe for plain old green chili? I want to make a bunch and freeze it, but I want a recipe I can trust...

I picked up a mini chili roaster at an HEB grocery store to roast some hatch chilies, it fits nicely on my XL.  I built a concentrated fire with mostly wood chunks, the taller & hotter the fire the better.  Worked pretty good as long as you kept your fire pretty hot.

Brother that is real nice and it's cool to boot.

Most of them just use propane burners/jets set to intense...
