Great summer night: Brisket, Burnt end ABTs and a "Tank" of beer

We had neighbors over for dinner last night.  The brisket - my first packer on the egg - turned out pretty nice!  It was a lot of work but worth the effort, and I learned a lot about the cut.  I took the point off and cooked with some BBQ sauce and used that for bunt end ABTs.  Also made some with pineapple, which were tasty.  The Yeti Tank was full of beer to wash it all down with.

Looks great! How do you like the Tank I have been looking to get one?

@txhawkeye It's the nicest plastic beer bucket ever!  I got it as a gift. It's very heavy and seems really solid and durable.

"The nicest plastic bucket ever..." That's hilarious. I saw one in a store and picked up the lid and thought "this isn't a horrible price" but that was just the lid!!!

Only yeti product that I have found worth the money (for me anyway) is the colster (koozie).

Is it plastic or rotomolded fiberglass like their coolers? I have never seen one in person, but it seems like they would use RMF. Just looking at your pic above, it looks heavy duty either way. How well does it keep ice?

@sgh it's rotomolded. Really thick walls, quite heavy. The lid isn't insulated. But it keeps ice well. I put 40 lbs in yesterday and at least half is left.

@DixieEGG yeah I will say the colster is awesome.

Awesome looking cook.  Just curious about your slicing.  Were you serving a large enough group to where it was gone in one serving or do you just prefer to slice the entire brisket at once?  I've found that they dry out quicker if I slice it completely as opposed to slicing it per person.

@hoofaloos thanks! Yes, it was almost all gone. 10lb packer after trimming and cooking and removing most of the point was about right for 8 adults. Only a few shards were left and they went great with a fried egg this morning.
