Old cars are cool but way too much work and worry. Growing up we used to go to the turkey rod run every year and multiple other car shows. My dad redid several from a 67 RS and 69 SS camaro and did a frame off on a 58 vette. He also had a I believe it was a 63 stingray that he bought off the original ownrs son with like 30k miles on it. I have never owned a classic car but they say they will never own one again for what it's worth.

They're not for everyone.  They take either a lot of money, or less than a lot of money and some mechanical abilities and time.  Well, time is money. No airbags, crappy mileage.   Some of us think life is too easy without challenges.  I for one are of that fiber - I make my life as tough as possible.  To my chagrin.

But the smell of gasoline incompletely burned because the lack of catalytic converters, the tic of valves, the flesh-crunching contour of the dashboard and lack of safety technology...pure ecstasy.
