Hotdogs..smoking??
Gonna try this today I think.
http://www.smoking-meat.com/october-18-2012-smoked-hotdogs-spiral-cut
I've got some Shopsy all beef hotdogs, and some maple wood chips I think would be great together.
Any reason not to follow the above guide?? Go indirect?

I can't see any reason not to try it. I have done dogs indirect before while cooking other things and they were really good. Those look really good with the rub on them. I say go for it and let us know how they turn out.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

@Griiiffin made the first spiral cut hot dog post I saw here, grandkids pretty much demand we have fancy "Texas" style hot dogs all the time. Never skewered them, might try that. Have done for lunch while the butt is smoking away for dinner, but never by themselves - something else on my "lump list". Thanks!

Couple more. The concoction maker and the finished product. Awesome idea, loved it, right in my wheel house simple, easy, fun and great tasting! Lime daiquiri with Turtleback rum does not suck either!! Frozen Concoction Maker was a wedding gift."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber
