Flooding in Texas
This weather is crazy, I unofficially call the drought over in Central Texas. There is a dry creek bed behind my house, literally completely dry the last five years. Check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yV3IbXw4NGk

Stay safe there. Unbelievable amounts of rain coming down here. My front lawn has a stream running down and around the back of the house. At least we haven't had any wind yet.Love you bro!

Holy cow, stay safe friends. Flood waters can have all sorts of issues, including underestimating current (don't let your kids stand too close) , overflowing sanitary outlets (sewers, etc) and of course total flooding of homes and businesses.

Here is the road we had to cross to get out of our cabin on the Frio. 36 hours after this pic they got a backhoe in to unclog the drain below the bridge and we were able to pass.

I hope everyone stays safe. We went through that here south of Nashville a few years ago. I know what devastation can happen in a flood. Keep those kids out of the creeks!Franklin, TNLarge BGE+PSWoo2

The Frio River rose about 8 feet in 8 hours. That was bad but it really just eliminated recreational activities and limited travel and took out a bridge or two. The Blanco River rose 33 feet in 3 hours (and 36 feet overall) from 10 PM to 1 AM Saturday night in the towns of Wimberley and San Marcos. Hundreds of homes washed away.
