Well today sucks. My dog Dixie hasn't been doing well for a awhile. My wife called today because she just wasn't right. I took her to the vet and they put her down. Dixie has been with us since we got married 13 years ago. My kids have never been without her. She was the best dog we could have ever hoped for. So here is to you Dixie, I hope you enjoyed your life as much as we enjoyed having you in ours!

Jaimie, I know exactly how you feel. Went through that with our first lab a few years ago. Nothing you can do, but remember the good. We still talk about that dog a lot. Sorry you have to go through that.

Why do people go to heaven (or hell) and dogs just into oblivion? I've had dogs with more intelligence and soul then some people I know. Then again, I've had some good dogs and known some bad people. Forgive me for that. (yes, I've not just only had cats). Oh yeah, the magic is strong with people.
