Sweet Baby Jesus Rub
(multiply "part" with whatever unit of measurement you deem appropriate)
Note: try to keep all the grind the same size. Freshest is bestest.
8 parts kosher salt (as in granularity)
1 part medium grind black pepper or 0.5 parts fresh ground
0.5 part MSG or 1 part ground dried anchovy
0.5 parts 6.25% sodium nitrite (pink salt)
2 parts granulated garlic
1 part granulated onion
1 part hot Hungarian paprika
0.25 parts dried holy ghost pepper (naga jolokia)
1 ground wafer of body of Christ pilfered from communion (optional) as binder
0.5 parts lavender (think "herbs de provence")
very tiny dash of ground Frankincense (might be toxic, so very little) optional
very tiny dash of myrrh (no thorns!!) (also might be toxic) optional
0.25 parts green tea
1 part instant espresso coffee
4 parts turbinado sugar (make the baby SWEET!!)
Mix all that together well.
DO NOT USE MUSTARD AS BINDER!
Take your meat, and wet with a blood of christ (aka "wine", red of course)/holy water slurry (50/50 is sufficient) The goal is to increase the adherence of the sweet baby jesus rub to the meat. Once wet, sprinkle the rub on liberally. You are ready to smoke.
