LOL yesterday the forecast for next Saturday in Salado was 49 and rainy.  Today it's for 69 and partly sunny.  I bet if I check tomorrow they'll be predicting a tropical storm.

What is Salado?  This is the first I have heard of it.  Is it a spanish salad?

Close-it is happening on the Pi Day of the century!  Last year it survived the Ides of March so no worries this year.

Is there a general schedule/timeline posted somewhere amongst those 200K words? I don't find one, I'm probably missing something obvious. Thx!

Not really.  But this should give you an idea of how it works.

Ace Hardware, the Host Dealer, employees will be there early to get Eggs and tables in place.  By 'early' I mean daybreak or before.  Shortly after that, about the time Dawn makes a little-bitty crack, a few Cooks will arrive with their gear, and start getting set up to cook.  Some of those will be cooking to feed the Cooks who arrive early.  By 8:00 am, most of the Eggs will be fired up and cooking for the early arrival Tasters around 9:00 am.

More will start arriving between 9:30/10:00 and it will continue until around 3:00 pm.  We expect between 400 and 500 total.

By 3:00 everyone will be full and the Cooks will begin to wind down so the Demo-Eggs can cool for the ride to their new home.

Somewhere between 3:00 and 4:00 we will have the drawings for the two Mini-Max Eggs.  Then a few folks will hang around a bit to eat some more before driving home.

By 5:00 everyone should be gone.

    But that's just an estimate.

  • By 5:00 everyone should be gone.

Except those of of us staying for the after party (the best part of the whole event IMO).
