Shouldn't the cost of other chicken parts fluctuate equally with the wangs?  Or are they grown separately?   =)

@Botch- the market has priced wings at quite a premium compared to the whole chix.  I suspect that the wings no longer are created as a solo product so the chicken plucker and butcher costs drive the cost of those guys way up there.  Fortunately the produce market has not tried to capitalize on left and right wings.   =)  That's next!

Surprised the cart survived with the close proximity of brown and blonde water.  Enjoy!

@nolaegghead - great score right there.  I recall talking with the weber high-powered sales team when they stopped in L'ville with their road-show semi and they were all about their new charcoal.  Never have given it a shot but for that price I think you are way ahead.  Let us know how it performs-but not on a Friday  ;)

    At the bar. Drinking beer.
My kids were screaming this morning so I added Baileys to my coffee to help take the edge off. You do what you gotta do, buddy.
I did the same thing this morning, no screaming kids but last nights drinking had my head screaming.

@MeatChurch I can’t find a holy cow by itself on amazon prime - there are lots of other meat church rubs that are stand alone prime. Hope I’m just missing it.

so our usual spots were out of Frasier Fir christmas trees.  wife not happy.. local greenhouse had shorties and some 6-7 ft.  We need 9ft.   Gal at the usual place (out of tree) said try Whole Foods.  We did and got the 8-9ft fraiser fir tree for only $50.

Nice score! My mom (social worker) was given some tamales by one of the families she visits a few years ago. I got to share them with my dad, they were amazing! Haven't had anything like them since.

    Thanks @SamIAm2 and @northGAcock
    The chickens are fine.
For the record, I am up only 5 lbs.  I think all the walking and being outside in the cold had me burning calories.

Went out to a favorite Indian restaurant with friends tonight.

    Lamb vindaloo:

    Chicken tikka:

    Thai green chicken curry:

Also various naans, samosas, spring rolls, etc that I didn't get pics of. As always it was excellent.

Then they came back here and me and my buddy sat down at my bar and shot the $hit for awhile.
