Today's shuck, blanch, cut, bag project along with burning weeds.

Started with Kauai coffee and 4 dozen,

    ended with "Wisconsin's Real Red".

Picked up some white gutter screws at Mynards for a buck.  Another brewery tracked and hunted, and on the wall.

You can measure your life in time according to the slow increase in entropy of the universe - or by those defining moments in your life.

Peeps, chicken fried chicken and jalapeno green chili gravy is one of those defining moments.

You just need your own thread at this point, like this one, but dedicated to everything you cook.

@Legume @SamIAm2 Thanks. My daughter had jalapeno gravy in the cafeteria where she works. She told me, "Dad. If cafeteria gravy is this good, then homemade gravy would be insane."
She wasn't wrong. Just make normal cream gravy but add a bit of chopped jalapeno and roasted Hatch green chilies. Day-um it is good.

... and preparing to cut open a box labelled "ThermoWorks" that The Man In The Brown Shorts™ left on my doorstep after their 15% Off sale last weekend.  Should have a brand-new Smoke, medium case with plucky foam, and a Stick Timer (my old Polder is flickering).  Thanks, August Santa!

I bought 2 timesticks or whatever they're called.  Both broke, and I used them maybe a dozen times in 2 years.  In other words, TIME broke them.  (Yes, I replace the batteries).

I'd be way more pissed off if they weren't so cheap.

You will never be dead to me.
You can put that gold star next to the medal you won for your delicious chili.
I think it best we have a presentation ceremony, similar to the one where @northGAcock placed the medal around your neck, during your coronation as the King of chili.
Or I could drop it in the mail.
    You found the wine.
