@JohnnyTarheel - I'm guessing some great pork tenderloins. However, this being Friday and the evening one could draw a different conclusion...
Btw- not measuring here but thickness countsLouisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. -

My kind of experiment, and nice cooker. My guess would have been your Backwoods would run too efficient to use as a stickburner. Let us know how it goes.Phoenix -
Leaving fire box door cracked, temp is running 275-300 and I'm not running water.... my fault being stubborn temp would be lower if I did.
but I'm keeping the smoke nice and light blue for now so we will see. I've seen @Lit say it has been done and he's had great results.
I picked up a good chunk of wood today from a local source so worth a try at least.

@SkinnyV - I spent a few years in the PNW and rapidly concluded that making the appearance of the sun a criteria would severely limit options. Liquid sunshine was the norm and I am always reminded from those days that "you can only get so wet." A great life learned lesson. Da-n the rain, full speed ahead. Above all, have fun.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Triple IPA Sourdough 85% hydration but, the humidity gave it more moisture and the feel of a 98% hydrated dough. Other than the starter the only liquid was the Triple IPA. I'll slice it after I get home from running calls tomorrow. My original intention was to egg This loaf but, I'm On Call and couldn't swing it today.

Debating whether to stay in LEO or go for the escape velocity ride. I'm heavily leaning to the escape velocity since I have to be somewhat close to the planet Sat PM for a National Brisket Day (Sun) cook. All good.
