Hunkering down for the foot of snow we may be getting tonight/tomorrow. Wednesday the highs are supposed to be back near 60°F so it won't hang around too long. My favorite kind of snow - looks pretty for a few days and then - get the hell outta here!

Hoping buyers accept counter on vacation home.
    first world problems
Agreed :)   I call it a vacation house because it makes me feel better.  I moved to a different State and have been floating two mortgages for 4 months.  Thinking about all the cash flying out the window for a house I will never use again hurts to much....yes, that is still a 1st world problem.
Ooh. Sorry. I knew you moved to warmer pastures, had no idea you left one foot in Illinois. Good luck. Hope you get a good Cat employee on the hook.

Roads were crap coming home from work yesterday, and I expected them to be worse this morning.  Got up at 0430, the outside temp was -5F (streets were terrible, bad combo of cold snow on top of ice), so called my boss's phone, left a Leave Request message, and crawled back under the covers. Logan, UT just north of me 45 miles, hit -28 this morning, -42 F in Rock Springs WY, and a weird UT geologic depression hit -54 F (something I've never seen even in Grand Forks ND).
Will be hunkering down for the rest of the evening.

Frying up some tenders and squash casserole

Best way to season cast iron right there

flaxseed bullsh!t for six hours plus peanut oil and scrub with salt then bake six hours at 250 to let the nonexistent 'pores' open up then wave a chicken bone over it and bury the bone in the backyard and chant the words "vintage cast iron" three times. Pffft

All you need to do to season a pan is cook in the thing.

Whenever the wife strips the seasoning (by boiling something usually), i tell her: "looks like fried chicken tomorrow "

still hasn't learned. But i'll keep her around. She treats me well

I got stuck up in that crap last night. Hunkered down in a hotel in Layton.  Came home this morning roads were still kinda crap at 10am when I left.  Guess it doesn't melt off too fast even at the 5 F I saw when leaving.

That's the funniest **** I have seen in awhile. What a douche bag. Don't forget he's the National EGGtoberfest champion of an event that's held in 1 place. How is that national?
Now now - be nice.  He's not a dbag.  These days we call them "vagina ambassadors"
Awright. Now when YOU become a doosh, something's wrong

    guy is ok.

I remember when he first started out on the forum and the pics were worse than mine. He took a lot of grief. Then the new place opened (here) and he got crucified eventually

at least he can cook. There are some massive egos here. Just be glad the dude is doing something he likes

    i'm an a-hole. Ask everyone

Not sure why everyone thinks he is

The only time I really appreciate a cover for the BGE, is in weather like that. So easy to grab the handle on the cover and start.
Love cooking on the egg in cold snowy weather, the food just tastes better it seems ( when done while swilling adult beverages)
