I quote low (0-600V) and medium (2300V-7200V) voltage motor control centers.DoubleEgger said:@tarheelmatt What do you do?
Carrier uses our (and probably other manufactures) medium voltage MCC's to power their chillers.------------------------------

@tarheelmattI see your stuff regularly. I'm a sales manager for Carrier Commercial Service. Our forte is the heavy applied chiller market. Carrier just came out with 4160v vfd's and expanded their 19 series chiller to 3000 tons so I'm interested to see those.

That's pretty cool! Usually, when someone asks what I do and I tellthem, they have a blank stare towards me. It's stuff you just do not see every day.DoubleEgger said:@tarheelmattI see your stuff regularly. I'm a sales manager for Carrier Commercial Service. Our forte is the heavy applied chiller market. Um see my post on "ground chicken 3 ways" and you will see what I'm doing right now. I need to get off the forum and go work on pile 3. Pile 2 is cooling and pile one is waiting for when it's time to cook dinner.

@nolaegghead what they're spreading goes down first. This is just a crappy pic of mulch.

Just laid out the 2nd side of the split in our tiling job and the lines lined back up. Made a drink then sat on the couch. Happy now.

I'm sitting here talking to a friend and fellow Q enthusiast about possibly building Unit #8 at the end of summer. It's just a idle thought and conversation piece at the moment. With that said, more often than not, that's how it usually starts. We shall see.
Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.
Status- Standing by.

What do you do with all those smokers? Do you just like to keep trying new things?
Don't take the question wrong, its an awesome passion you have and cool to see you doing what you love.
I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

Some of them just sit idle as they are very old and at the end of their usable life without being totaly overhauled. I now have newer pits to take their place for cooking. I keep several of them out of sheer sentimental reasons. A few of them are much older than my children. They have been with me most of my life. With that said, when time and money allows, I do love to tinker and experiment with tuning and new designs. At this years brisket camp, I'm going to bring a few of them for demostration purposes. To let folks get the feel of what it's like to cook on a reverse flow versus a direct fired, a mid draft versus a top draft. Things such as that. More than likely, after brisket camp I will sale Unit #2, #6 & #7. Hence the thought of building #8.Ozzie_Isaac said:

@SGH this years brisket camp? When?
-
That would be cool to see all the different styles of smokers in one spot. I like to see and touch more than read and imagine.

We are shooting for September or October to escape some of the heat and humidity. I about didn't make it through last year standing in front of Unit #1 for 12 hours in the August heat. Here in a month or two when we know the for sure date we are going to post a 2015 brisket camp post for everyone. This year will be much different. We are going to take requests. What I mean by this is, if several folks request to see something, Examples- How to prep a hog, how to run a direct fired offset, how to stuff a whole pork shoulder etc, etc, we are going to demonstrate it. Also I will have a few units there for everyone to run if they wish. We are hoping to really get a lot deeper into the "how to part" this time.Lit said:@SGH this years brisket camp? @SGH I'm thinking Oct or Nov. Last one was Sept 20th and hot.

We'll start up a conversation about the date. The earlier I book the venue/band the better.

Single malt over large ice cube. Stick. I love Friday. Oh, a little Amos Lee Pandora!

@doublegger looks like too much water for alatoona. Lanier?
-
@nolaegghead make it the first or second week of November, homie.

I was blown away too. It was a pleasant surprise. Allatoona is above full pool due to the rain that never ends. There was a fair amount of crap floating around though.theyolksonyou said:@doublegger looks like too much water for alatoona. Lanier?
