I'll make it up your way eventually brother! Sounds like you're gonna be on 2 levels. Should be fun.blind99 said:Brent you're welcome anytime. In fact I could use some help this morning - neighbor dropped off 25 pounds of butt for me to smoke for a party tonight. Wish I had an XL like @dmw is rocking!
it's the 'pork pyramid.' three butts on the bottom, a foil-wrapped brick in the middle, and the 4th perched on that. sitting at 150 right now. think i'm going to wrap em up, since I need them done by 3:30 or so and haven't seen the worst of the stall. dang the back yard smells awesome.

Running a pint low after my every 8 week blood donation this AM. As I accumulate more laps of the sun the impact becomes more noticeable. Cheap drunk on the horizon.

@lousubcap that's great that you're donating. I don't mind the vein puncture - but when they prick your finger to check your hematocrit? that HURTS!!Chicago, IL - Large and Small BGE - Weber Gasser and Kettle

Mowed the lawn and put down another four bags of mulch. Grabbed a beer and watching some golf right now.

@nhk19 i'm sure I stole the idea from someone else! the other stolen idea is to lay two sheets of heavy-duty aluminum foil crosswise and make a big, disposable drip pan out of it.
@yemtrey bummer I can't make it down into the city this week. one of these trips we will meet up at the map room!Chicago, IL - Large and Small BGE - Weber Gasser and Kettle -

Glad you liked them, but the Valters recommendation must've come from someone else; I've never heard of it.Dyal_SC said:
@Botch, I was in your neck of the woods a few weeks ago in SLC. Based on your recommendations, I ate at Moochies, Valters and Naked Fish. Loved the fry sauce and jalapeño sauce at Moochies! All 3 places were really good.Botch said:Relaxing at home. Sad how a 13-hour drive, with the last 2 hours in Friday-night SLC rush-hour, can erase virtually all of the calm built up on a week's vacation. :(
Ate at Rooster's for lunch today, after a hot morning mowing the lawn nothing tastes as good to me as a taco salad. Theirs was bizarre; tortilla bowl filled with hot rice, hot beans, roasted carrots, zucchini, onions, and corn, and topped with a grilled piece of salmon. Arugula greens on the side! It was certainly edible, but a taco salad it was not.
