@NPHuskerFL - we've got all those, but I've got a wife and daughter who want to look nice, and at the very least, expect me to change clothes a few times.

@Legume Oh come now. That's a good tune. I assure you I'm a romantic at heart. If my wife and I had it our way we'd pack up for Sicily, Italy or France. For now it's FL.

Great ACC championship game and great outcome.
No, that was not a great outcome for some of us! But at least now I don't have to leave my UVa attire at home during Butt Blast.

@Acn I know they took down the locks on Pont des Arts bridge, but you still may want to take a lock and put it on one of the other bridges. Not sure if you are into that or not, but the wife might be impressed that you know about the tourist tradition of the practice since it is the city of love.

Other recommendations- suggest randomly when going by a church, or other place of worship, to light a candle for for a deceased relative of your wife's side of the family. When we were in  Notre Dame, I suggested we do that for our grandmothers. I am not overly religious, but woweeee, that is a memory I will never forget.

Remember the Louvre in Paris is closed on Tuesdays. In fact, check hours for all places you are going well ahead of time as some hours/ days of closure are very strange.

And do do not fall for the "dropped wedding ring con" - that is the #1 con in Paris. Do not even look at them, ignore them, keep walking and if they go to give you something refuse and fight the urge to put out your hand.  Do not know what it is? Google it.

    Have a GREAT trip!

@Lit (or anyone else who cares to answer), what's the deal with everyone having huge charcoal stashes?  I normally buy 4-6 bags at a time depending on the time of year and just restock as needed.  What am I missing?  Why does one need 25 bags on hand?

I just buy it when it's cheap. The ozark oak my parents used to bring me 20 bags twice a year cause they had a place in Arkansas and it was $5 a bag. The fogo was on sale the winter before last for $28 with delivery for the 35 lb bags. The Royal oak is on sale right now for $9.94 for the 17.6 lb bags. I burn through 500 pounds a year so that won't even last me a year and I hate using the OO for burgers or shoulders I keep it around for chicken or bread etc that don't need the smoke. If I would have known OO was closing I would have asked my parents to get me a couple hundred bags for $5 a bag it's hard to argue against it.

Ran some errands while big guy was at baseball practice. Aldi had some of their choice skirt steaks marked $1 off because the use of freeze date was 3 days away. I bought all 3 marked down.

@DMW, i have also become an Aldi fan.  Produce quality and prices are rockin'.   Haven't done meat yet because normally I stop there on the way to my parents house to help out around the farm.  Yesterday I bought baby bella mushrooms, 2 lbs tomatoes on the vine, 2 large cukes, 2lbs carrots, dozen eggs, specialty lettuce (the four pack of high end stuff).  Total $8.90 before tax.  So right now, I'm making salad out of certain ingredients.  And that's a Jim Beam, water and lemon in the glass.
