450hp out of a four banger is pretty impressive. That engine has to be running on the ragged edge of coming apart. My 83 944 had a 2.5l I4. Solid engine. I wouldn’t have survived high school and college if it had anywhere close to 450hp.

I really like their Saleen Mustang... the S1, however, isn't something I would move away from my 911 for.  As @Eoin said... Lotus bodied with IL4 turbo.  Doesn't tinky my winky!

True, We now have a Twin turbo, supercharged inline 6 hybrid with 400+HP. The technology still amazes me after 30+ years with these cars.

i would like to see how the saleen offroad pickup handles the 700 hp 700 hp with 14 inch travel on the suspension, im thinking you could get some pretty good air with that thing

I'm pretty sure it has traction control.  Also, there's a lot of rubber on the ground, I seem to remember from yesterday, something like 255 in the front and 335 in the rear on 20" rims.  2600 pounds. 

Amateur drivers drivers or anyone who doesn't modulate the gas might get into trouble with that much power.

The traction control on Porsche is legendary, I can't imagine it's as good, they really have it tuned to the point you don't notice it as much as you think it's just a really stable car.  Those light, short wheelbase cars are almost undriveable without T/C, they will spin out with any aggressive under/over steer.

Great way to learn your car's handling and how to finely control it is to drive with cheap/worn tires or in the rain.

The Germans have it dialed in for sure. We got a Z06 in back when I was still foreman. Took it out and damn near killed myself. I would correct and then the car would correct. I had to turn the traction control off it was so bad.
 Started learning on dirt roads and snow in the country at age 12. No better way.

There's a guy here, ex F1 test driver, does car control days. On a circuit, but it's not circuit tuition (although he does that too), just car control, what happens at / over the limit, why it happens, what to do about it etc. A great way to learn about your car, and how inadequate you are as well.

I hung out with Mika Hakkenin at the track and later in a bar in Germany a few years back. Those F1 guys can drive.

I think it would be fun to have a race where the cars weren't allowed to have brakes.  Any braking would be engine or turning.  Also, I would like to own the body shop next to that track.

Not a sweet job. A lot of hours at crappy jobs for several years and I sold some baseball cards.

fixed a tuna harpoon last summer, the guy just came in with a pile of bear and deer burgers and cooked them up. nice med/rare, stuffed.  never knew bear burger was so sweet, new favorite burger

Bear meat is often infested with trichinosis, bear meat the leading cause in humans, seriously, look it up if you don't believe me.  I would cook bear meat medium at a minimum.

My buddy has one of these...no brakes.  For flat track racing.

its really rare in new hampshire bears, i would not eat it from any other place.  might even be safer than riding a bike with no brakes
