Just finished an all day project cleaning up my rescued fryer.
still needs some more work, but at least the inside is clean and the burner works. Going to make egg rolls tonight.

Just lit the egg for dinner, wrapping up a long day of running errands and working in the kitchen - we got a big batch of spaghetti sauce made, some for later in the week and 3 big containers for the deep freeze, a batch of lentil soup for lunches this week, and several batches of pepper vinegar that will be going to family for Xmas.

Waiting on some hind quarters, listening to Eric Hutchinson @ Pandora, sipping some Woodford and enjoying a CAO Italia.

Did the same thing a couple nights ago to my Boos. Something was spilled on the counter and no one noticed it before absorbing into bottom of the block. So I took some 100-150-220 grit to it. Reapplied with Howards butcher block conditioner. 4 different coats to the bottom and a couple coats on the sides/top"The pig is an amazing animal. You feed a pig an apple and it makes bacon. New toy for the small. With the KAB and the Home Depot vacuum the small egg will see a lot more action with easier clean outs. Would have bought the small KAB before my large if it was available at the time. Game changer for me and the small!

Everyone is gone, made about 40 or so egg rolls and a big batch of fried rice.
Last set of egg rolls in. If we had planned ahead and had the egg rolls built earlier, I could have fried 20 at a time in this thing.
4.5 gallons of fry oil is great. Zero recovery time from dropping food in. The baskets are in a garbage bag with oven cleaner. That will make things way easy instead of using a skimmer and tongs to load and unload. While cleaning it up, I discovered it was a King Kooker. Having this in my collection could be very bad for my waist line...They/Them

About to cook some crap. Thinking about trying the pork shoulder in the 22.5" weber and gonna do the chuckies in the backwoods for pepper beef. Got my PJs on for the day and about to crack a beer. Gonna be a good Sunday.

Think this is what they refer to as the snake method. Gonna give it a shot.

Doing a slow hammered roll-been enjoying the flavor and effects of C2H5OH since around 9 AM (EST)-did fire off some stuffed chix thighs and will wrestle with a paella cook in a couple of hours. Surfacing in around an hour to Skype with my son in Spain and then the paella cook and who knows after...Monday could be a challenge...But what is life wtihout a challenge or two...Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Pepper beef is off and pulled a added some blues hog original and red and threw a split of hickory on to finish it. Still got a shoulder to finish.

Trying to figure out how to use our stove. It's been a while. Damn the rain.
