Actually did this yesterday. Meant to post, but didn't get around to it.
Cooked dinner for my family (what is left of it). Fixed my Mom's go to feed the family dinner. Country style steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, cole slaw, and bread. Didn't get any pictures of that.
My Mom's birthday was yesterday and as some of you know, she passed away on Aug. 4th. It's been a rough go, I'm not going to lie. I wanted to have something at her and my Dad's grave that is personalized.
I have a buddy that makes many neat items from horse shoes, metal, etc. He's also a body/metal guy at a Nascar shop. I asked him to make me something for my Mom and Dad. He said no problem. He delivered this Sunday for her birthday this Wednesday. We also went out for a bite of BBQ over at a place called Mac's Speed Shop. It was okay.
So this is what he came up with. The lettering is raised off the aluminum plate on the back. Hard to see in the picture. The lettering is weathered/rusted metal that was clear coated so the rust wouldn't stain.
I thought it turned out beautifully and dinner was good too. A little emotional, but good.
Edit: The original picture may not have showed since having issues with Google Photos.

Done. I thought he had unplugged it so I was expecting the worse. There were three sacks of oysters that dripped spooge in it (later consumed) and half a lamb carcass. We left it cleaner than we got it. Even cleaned the outside doors....used chlorox cleanup.______________________________________________I love lamp..

Sorry, but that fridge was pretty rank on Saturday and @nolabrew @TigerTony and @FleurdeLirious were telling me horror stories about fridges.
-
It's m'kay. I can't begin to describe the smells post Katrina. You do get used to them...some.

@Botch I realized when I posted that the door on my poor sentence structure would open. Of course I meant the oyster spooge. Oysters!? Yuck, they're slimy snots!
@nphuskerfl we came equipped with flashlights, gloves, bleach and a few drinks in us for the smell. Wasn't so terrible after all. The fridge was still running and that makes all the difference.______________________________________________I love lamp.. -
