buying a used range rover right now, buggers wont drop price but now it looks like they will throw in new brakes and rotors for the rear, fix the parking sensor system and a video input cover for the tv's. trying now to split costs on the extended warranty
You do know that Range Rovers occasionally have expensive issues?

I have been going back and fourth with the different warrantys for the last few hours, im down to a 3 year that coveres pretty much everything in the vehicle except the air ride suspension.  this one was serviced every november and every april and the only work done since 2010 is tire replacement and the front rotors and pads. i think it was only used on the highway heading and returning to and from florida to massachusetts.  anyways its the 126,000 dollar in 2010 dollars autobiography selling for 100,000 dollars less.  3 years and its gone or a new warranty.  i know the issues, but its going to be nice going from a rusty 1989 dodge to 510 hp, 461 pounds torque, o to 60 in 5.1 seconds, friggin only off road vehicle ive ever seen with a hand stitched head liner =)

The air suspension tends to be troublesome, although often small stuff like sensors that makes it fail.  Good value used, they depreciate like bricks once a few years old. Plenty of RR info on UK forums.

Buy through carmax and get their 6 year warranty.  Read Doug Demuro, it is a good writeup:

Unfortunately I think DeMuro’s work has forced CarMax to significantly change their warranty costs on these kind of vehicles.

No Ohioan here but the family savior word is "detached" garage.  At least that spared the house.  Likely not torching weeds at 4 AM-mulch likely was inadvertently lit and smoldered for several hours until the show started.
Seen similar sequences with the discarded lit cigarette butt.  Regardless, tragedy all around.

@fishlessman - you have infinitely more patience than me.  No way I would still be doing the dance approaching the 10 hour mark.  I hope the time/value here is worth it.  Sounds like the dealer really wants to do the deal so you may just need to take the remainder of the day off.  That may prompt the final move on their part or the alternative picture may be in play.  Regardless,  no remorse when the dance concludes, result independent.

ive had my current truck since 1989, registration and sticker run out thursday, pretty sure the tires and doors fall off by then. theres literally nothing left of the old girl, it will be a sad day though, really liked that truck.

I totally get it. I have a 21 year old truck, I never want to get rid of. Hoping to get another couple 100Ks out of her. It has become an obsession to keep this truck running, it has been challenging, it is a Ford.

God is trying to tell you something if you’ve been at the dealer for 9.5hrs.
today has just been emails, almost like posting on a bbq forum. never bought a vehicle like this, im blaming it on millennials.  theres an internet car sales manager, an internet sales person, a sales person, the guy from the service department, the internet financier =)   last truck i bought was less than an hour including getting the bank check.  this is all new to me

Better look for two of them. You’ll need something to drive while one is in the shop.
