Competition Chicken Thighs and Oakridge Rub

I've been "trimming" Chicken Thighs for the last few times I've cooked them. It's a bit of a pain to prepare but the results are worth the effort.

My Oakridge Rub order (direct, thanks for the tip) arrived yesterday, SWHBO is out of town and I thought I'd cook some thighs and whole wings with one of the new rubs - "Secret Weapon Pork and Chicken Rub". I was impressed with the size of the individual packets with the sample pack - makes Dizzy's sample packs looks silly IMHO.
I "trimmed" the thighs, did a moderate coating of rub and out in the fridge for drying. More this evening when I cook them raised direct @350-375.

I got my sampler pack in and immediately used the Santa Maria Steak seasoning on a couple of ribeyes and really enjoyed it. Curious as to what you think of this Oak Ridge rub.Steve

Love the Oak Ridge Rubs. I use the Secret Weapon also on wing. Really good flavor. I got to try the HDD since several on here have recommended it.

Got my sampler pack a couple of days ago, too. I did the Santa Maria on some steak ends last night. Good stuff. Secret Weapon up next.

I have used the Oak Ridge rubs as well as the brining solution....good products and they have great deals around the holiday.....Habanero Death Dust is damn good for the hot heads....
