Between them wanting to cook and travel baseball season I may be starting to have an argument here! I like the way you guys think.

Bet your proud. Stick out your chest =D>

Of course you might replicate our experience. We bought our son an egg for Christmas ... only seen him a couple of times since then ... and the last time we saw him was when he stopped by to "borrow" lump.

Hard to return that "borrowed lump"

I wouldn't put it past him to try ...

Awesome story, Jason! Those are some ever lasting enjoyable moments I am sure.
So, in reference to getting him an Egg. How cool would that be for an Egg to continue with him as he gets older. When he gets his own place and he's still cooking on the Egg Pops got him and he's now 30s cooking for his family and friends. Buy it now and he'll have it forever.------------------------------

It's cliche, but enjoy this time, it'll come before you know it! 11 days from teen and we still talk about the toddler days routinely. Make sure to pay attention now! -
Wow, that sounds like you're thinking about one for each boy ... that would be neat ... medium for the oldest and small for the youngest.theyolksonyou said:

Thanks all. They had fun this week, but their not known for their attention span so I hope this wasn't a fluke and they just move on. I guess that's at least a large part up to me.
-
Highlight of the cook. We take the chicken off and into the house and I say, "you know what we have to do next?" Matthew and the wife in unison, "Take a picture." They're starting to come around.

Great cook and great looking family brother Yolk.
Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.
Status- Standing by.
The greatest barrier against all wisdom, the stronghold against knowledge itself, is the single thought, in ones mind, that they already have it all figured out. -
Have 'em cook for their friends. They'll stand taller from that and the other dad's will either hate you or thank you. Spread the love.theyolksonyou said:Thanks all. Most excellent! That last pic of your boy with the chicken is beautiful.
My son clapped and cheered last night as I brought the chicken out and put it on the egg. He just turned 1yo, but I think he's got potential.

You did good...really good. We often think that kids can't do things we do but given the chance they will surprise us.theyolksonyou said:Highlight of the cook. Great job!! My boy (16 and big as a man) approached me Saturday for "us" to do another smoked turkey yesterday. We were standing outside, under the umbrella watching the Egg come up to temp, just b/sing. It was pouring down rain. Had a good time.

I see you've taught to now show forks in the pics.Kudos!New Albany, Ohio

Very cool. My son learned cooking on the trail and returned to mom's kitchen confident and ready years ago. He is our pizza man with the BGE.
Remember, boys like anything with fire
