Wowza that looks good.
Don't tell your problems to people. 80% of people don't care and 20% are glad you have them.

That's impressive. You've inspired me to give the wok a try on the Egg.

It doesn't sit flush on the spider like it should, but appears to not effect the cook at all. I may look into getting a different wok, though this one is well seasoned already and I would hate to get another.Mattman3969 said:Awesome wokkin!!! Looks like your wok worked fine with the spider.

Thank you everyone for the kind words.
I was expecting a lot less from my first wok cook on the Egg, however I feel it turned out well.------------------------------

Looks really nice. Now that you have woking down pat, maybe you can get some ideas from this video I put together from photos posted by some of your fellow Eggheads.
We love the wok.

This thread put me over the tipping point. After seeing this one and many others I couldn't take it any more! I just ordered a large spider and wok from CGS. I can't wait to start using it.

Great cook! We cook a lot of Asian grub, some of it on the egg, and it all turns out good. But wokking on the egg is way more fun than cooking inside!#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.

It really is a lot of fun, plus the house doesn't smell as bad. Also, the egg really gets the wok hot and keeps the temp unlike my electric range.caliking said:Great cook! Great looking food @tarheelmatt ! I like the cornstarch I'm gonna try it tonight. How hot are you running your egg? I've only done it once and ran it approx 450° I'm just curious-Todd
Franklin N.C. LBGE and a SBGE -
@RiverDoc I got the Egg up to 550-600°, then placed the wok on the spider.
Make sure you fill up with well with lump, it burns up quickly with the lid open. I left the bottom slide vent open as well.------------------------------
