My Wife says I have. Problem

I was close to my Rockwood dealer today so I picked up 8 bags which left them with 2 bags left I think. My wife came in and saw the stack and told me I had a problem. I said no problem you should see some of the other guys garages. Prolly be enough till the end of March-April. Oh well image

Sharing food porn with folks is understandable, but sharing lump porn ... that might just be a little over the top?  Especially since some of us are malnourished concerning lump.

Maybe your wife is smarter than you think.

I'm getting low on lump too. I might order another bag or two Rockwood when I place my order for OO. You should show your wife some pics from some of the "lump Preppers", she'll think your okay after she sees their pics.

LOL - I'm one of those "other guys". I USED to panic when I'd get down to just 400 pounds of lump and run out like a druggie looking for a fix and run my supply back up to 550 to 650. I think I peaked out at 770 or so...but my secret is...it's NOT an addiction, but I'm a smart buyer hitting the sales. All of this started 14 years ago when lump was not a common commodity here and I had to make 20 pounds last for nearly 3 months.

Ron stashes like yours is what I was calling the other guys.LOL. The closest I can get RW is 2hrs away so I stock up when in the area. I'm thinking about a pallet buy. I have to admit that I am spoiled by RW and don't even look at other lumps unless the OO train comes to a neighborhood near me.

The last two had tears in the bags and I didn't want to get the back of the Explorer dirty. Lol.

I would say that now you have no problem.   Fewer than that would be a problem.  Sometimes stores don't stock lump charcoal in the winter.  And, if you have have been good, you can't count on Santa for any help.

My UPS man thinks I have a problem. Regularly get 100 pound shipments from Firecraft.

I need to show my wife this thread. She gets bent if I have more than about 80 pounds. I wouldn't know what to do with 770 pounds @RRP.

I have no idea how much lump I have. I bought 5-6 bags of RO in the fall. If it doesn't last until I can get another bag or two, I have an oven.

badinfluence, if I were your wife, I would tell the delivery guy to just leave it out in the weather. And pray for rain. Or get out the garden hose and make it rain!

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Ya see a woman is just about like a new puppy. If you train them right they are a good woman like a good puppy grows to be a good dog. Get my point?
