Ok. So I know none if y'all in real life. But I call bs. Wikipedia says she's from California, with Mexican lineage. Says nothing about Texas. Plus she's made several much newer videos. I say your pulling our chain. And yes I've been drinking.

Hmmm I guess white people don't breed with Mexicans. Please don't tell my wife! We have a few offspring and she makes some good bacon! :D

Initially, I just thought she was weird and just liked her lawn mowed 6 days a week. Then she invited me in and taught me English. It's been all up river since then.

Wowza Travis, this song is on Wikipedia - the site of lies.  Here's what they lie about (shhhh...don't tell your older brother's daughter):

The song has received almost universally negative reviews. Lyndsey Parker of Yahoo! Music asked if it could be "the worst song ever."[22] On March 29, 2011, it surpassed Justin Bieber's "Baby" as the most disliked YouTube video, with 1,310,000 negative votes,[23][24] and once had over 3 million "dislikes", accounting for 87% of the total ratings of the video.[25] The video was later removed, though it has since been officially re-uploaded.[26] The co-writer and producer of "Friday", Clarence Jey said about the song that "the concept we feel seems to have crossed a lot of boundaries, for the better or worse."[13] Observers have called it "bizarre," "inept," and "hilariously dreadful."[27][28][29] The song and Black herself were "savaged" on social networks across the Internet,[30] while being seen as a "YouTube laughing stock."[31] On YouTube, the video was met with negative comments and video responses, including comments interpreted as "violent".[32] Kevin Rutherford, a columnist for Billboard magazine, wrote, "Black's video for 'Friday' is one of those rare occurrences where even the most seasoned critics of Internet culture don't know where to begin. From the singing straight out of Auto-Tuned hell to lyrics such as 'Tomorrow is Saturday / And Sunday comes afterwards / I don't want this weekend to end' and a hilariously bad rap about passing school buses, 'Friday' is something that simply must be seen and heard to be fully appreciated."[33] Many other reviewers also singled out the lyrics in particular for criticism,[34][35] which were described as "overly simple and repetitive" by TNT Magazine.[36] Jim Edwards of BNET and Doug Gross of CNN both noted that the rap break from the considerably older rapper was "creepy."[37][38] Time ranked it number two on a list of "Top 10 Songs with Silly Lyrics."[39][40]

Despite the overwhelmingly negative reviews, a few reviewers had positive things to say about the song and video. Entertainment Weekly writer Joseph Lynch noted that there was "something sickeningly catchy about this tune that keeps you coming back for more."[28]Rolling Stone's Perpetua stated, "When you see this video, you immediately notice everything that it does 'wrong', but it actually gets a lot of things about pop music right, if just by accident."[9]OK! Magazine also noted that "some are calling the 13-year-old signed singer the next Justin Bieber."[41] After watching the video, singer Chris Brown said: "Honest opinion? It was great. I'll be jammin' to it on Friday, Friday."[42][43] Fellow teenage singer Miley Cyrus denied that she had criticized Black, saying "I am a fan" and that she sang "Friday" while driving.[44]Simon Cowell praised Black, saying "I love her [and] the fact that she's gotten so much publicity. People are so upset about the song, but I think it's hysterical. [...] Anyone who can create this much controversy within a week, I want to meet. I love people like that."[45] He observed that "any song to do with the weekend annoys you. It reminds me of 'Saturday Night'... It's what we call a 'hair-dryer song,' a song girls sing into their hair dryers as they're getting ready to go out. But the fact that it's making people so angry is brilliant."[46] Cowell advised Black not to "listen to anyone over the age of 18. I'm being deadly serious. Whatever she's done has worked. Whether you like her or not, she's the most talked-about artist in America right now. Nobody over the age of 18 should understand her or like her. So she should just do it her way."[47]

On May 6, 2012, Patrice Wilson released his sequel to the song "Friday", titled "Happy", focusing on Saturdays.[48][49]

In December 2013, Rebecca Black released her own sequel, titled "Saturday".[50][51]

I'm from gulf breeze, fl. Bay st to be exact. Google earth it.
What I read on Wikipedia: Black was born in Irvine, California.[5] She is the daughter of John Jeffery Black and Georgina Marquez Kelly, both veterinarians.[6][7] Her mother is half Mexican, and her father, originally from Iowa,[8] is of English, Italian, and Polish descent.[9][10] Black has a brother named Chase (born August 25, 1999). Her parents divorced in 2003, when Black was in first grade.

Black attended private school from kindergarten to 6th grade, and moved to a public school due to bullying. She joined the school's musical theater program, where she felt she was "meant to be."[8] In April 2011,[8] Black dropped out in favor of homeschooling, citing both a need to focus on her career[11] and a desire to avoid taunts from her former classmates.[12] Black was also failing English class due to her busy schedule.[8]

^^That's why I said what I said. Meant no offense to you, your brother and your niece.

As I said, I don't know any of you and shouldn't have made the accusation. Sorry.

Travis, while I think it's cool that your niece has found a lil fame, I'm hoping we can still be friends after this...

Becca sounds f'n horrible and your brother should be shot for encouraging her to be a dream chaser.  She actually looks pretty creepy too.  My wife walked in on me listening to her, so I quickly switched to some porn.  It was much easier to explain the latter.

This is why I love this forum. Where else would a bunch of adults dissect and out a a teen song video, figuring out who she is and where she is from, ( I still think she could be related to Travis), as well as figure out what hardware and software was used to make the video  ??  :) The CIA aint got nothing on this.

I still think the video was a good effort!

Oh my, seriously, the video is 9 years old, Travis' post is 6 years old.  I feel really really old.

I still find it catchy and enjoyed the video.  I think it was cool of her parents to help her with her dream.

BTW, you peaked the Buffalo's interest.  Thread is sunk.
