Not sure if any of you guys noticed, I haven't been real active cooking lately. I've been posting,mostly just at work. Been a few trying weeks lately for me and my family. I really enjoy this forum and feel at home.

My mom was diagnosed with cancer on her larinux (on top). Been going to appointmentsee and surgeries with her and just don't have the time. Especially with a little one at home too.

All was going well with my mom and she was getting ready to start chemo and radiation, but the stomach feeding tube they installed Monday came out apparently. Or probably not installed properly. A lot of infection came with that making her very sick. Yesterday did a CT scan,then two hours of surgery to rid the infection. She's now in ICU and we're hoping for the best.

Long story short, I wanted to say thanks to everyone. I read the forum while here at the hospital and get some laughter out of life at the moment.

Stay strong for her. It's tough going through Chemo and Radiation period but, having family love and support makes it better (at least it did for myself). I wish y'all the best.

Brother I'm truly sorry to hear of this. Cancer is the worst thing out there. Been through it myself with my dad. Brother Tar, believe me when I say I will keep Yall in my thoughts and prayers. Wishing Yall the absolutely very best my friend.

Matt, hate to hear that. Went thru it withy dad 15 yrs ago. His was 95% mortality rate and he's still with us. Drs are getting better and better at treatment. Stay strong. And as stated above if you need something let us know. We're spread out but we can get stuff done.

Wow.. I wasn't expecting all the wonderful comments. Very touching guys,it really is.

Right now we have to get over this infection first from the tube coming out. That really has her sick right now. Thankfully it didn't cause the area to become septic, though it was close.

That is awful, so sorry to hear this. But she can beat this, I am a 10 year survivor and if I can do it she can. I know it is hard but have faith..it is the one thing you can hold on to.

Yes, cancer sucks. But she can come out on the other side. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts, and pushing as much positive vibes as I can your way.

Some good news today.

Mom's BP is normal without meds. The procedure to remove the infection appears to be doing well. She is in good spirits and they even let her have some coffee. The best news is that she will be moving out of ICU to a normal room today.

Hopefully she's on a good road to recovery so then she can start her chemo and radiation treatments for her cancer.

Guy's, thank you so much for all the love and support. It's well appreciatedin these times of need.
