$300 Mini on Craigslist - Good Deal?

If the pic is accurate that is an older model mini.  They have changed the hinge, the stand, the fire ring design.  I agree too much for used.

My dealer offered an old style mini for 290 new. Without warranty I'd offer 200.

I don't think I would go more than $200. Maybe $225. They are going for $300 with nest at eggfests. If you offer $250 now you're only looking at a $50 difference for lifetime warranty. I think $200 would a better deal

Considering the age of it I think 1/2 of retail is fair.  I would go $200.  

They discontinued that style of stand and you will want to replace it.  Several ended up looking like this:

@smokeypitt thanks! That's crazy! My uncle is looking to pick one up, so I thought it could be a good buy if it was a good unit.  I'll see if I can't get him down lower.  If not, there's always another seller for me to be the buyer.

I just bought a mini that was almost new a couple of months ago on craigslist for 175

The mini in the pic isn't that old maybe 2-3 years. That band is the first one in the new style before they made all the hardware black. That price is high though I wouldn't even buy a used egg anymore no matter what. I had my 3rd egg base crack last week and have had multiple part break. Pay the extra money for a new one. I picked up a brand new mini from a shop that was closing for $300 a couple weeks ago.

not sure what you mean...that position high up is just like my mini I bought nine years ago.

By putting the clip on the outside it actually gives you more space inside the egg when needed. The stem can get in the way with tight cooks

By putting it on the outside nothing is holding it in. Another reason one can never have too many eggs. You will always have enough room.
