I did my homework and went with the ferris. My yard is rough and that 4 wheel independent suspension looked great. I've always mowed with my john deere with a finish mower. That ferris mows it in a third of the time.EGGjlmh said:Oh yeah, the mower should be green.... :>

Those were some shrimp sgh gave me this summer. We had to pull the heads to freeze them. Im in arkansas. Fresh shrimp are few and far between. Thats why i said it was a riff on bbq shrimp. I overcooked them (i think carryover heat did it) but the broth with some french bread was awesome. Its worth the cook just for that juice.

Yeah, it's pretty tough to do BBQ shrimp with frozen shrimp and get the right texture. I bet the flavor was good though!!

Nice mower and a beautiful place you have there. Looks like a good cook too. I can taste the juice just from the pics.L x2, M, S, Mini and a Blackstone 36. She says I have enough now....eggAddict from MN!

Looks like a slam dunk to me. Solid all around. Excellent cook. I have to say, those shrimp look very familiar. Hmmmmm. I wonder

Here is the small Clone I wanted you to video my friend. Short of a highly tuned and properly baffled Jambo with inlet deflectors installed, she has no equal. She is a cooking machine without peer my friend. She stands in at 30" diameter by 84" length on the horizontal main chamber. The attached vertical is 48x32x32.

@Biggreenpharmacist
She will hold within 10 degrees give or take a little from inlet to outlet without deflector plates. I only run the 3/8 tuning plates in this pit. No deflectors required. One would be hard pressed to do any better. The attached vertical runs 25 degrees lower than the horizontal chamber. This is a huge advantage when cooking different sizes and different cuts of meat. It will hold within 5 degrees from top dead center to bottom dead center. Impressive numbers for such a large unit.Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

Nice cook and nice mower.
Big Green hasn't been in the commercial mowers as long as the other more renowned names. Ferris are very nice. A friend of mine has the model with the 35hp Catapiller diesel in it. Makes my Toro Z Master look like a toy.------------------------------

Sorry guys I crashed early and slept late. I'll post how I did the shrimp even though I overcooked them. I kinda used the ingredients from a recipe @sgh gave me and made it up as I went. Give me a little bit and I'll post it.
@sgh. You are too kind my friend. I would be thrilled to cook on that bad boy.
@tarheelm i have a cousin that has that 72" with the cat diesel, too. That is a bad man. Mine is the 700z with 61" deck. Its just 23 horse. Coulda got the more powerful engine but it was a briggs and I didnt want that. I lovevthis mower.Little Rock, AR

That shrimp looks awesome.Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN

The shrimp texture was off. The juice was ridiculous. I could have sopped that up with a dirty pait of sweatsocks and it would have been good. I'll post how I did them monday when I get to a computer.henapple said:That shrimp looks awesome.

@Biggreenpharmacist how do you like the suspension on your new ferris mower? I run both deere and hustler zero turns with my business and really like them but have always wondered about the ferris with the suspension ride.Durham, NC
-
My yard is pretty rough. Thats why I got the ferris. It rides like a dream. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I'd been mowing with my JD 25 hp with a 5 ft finish mower. It takes bout 4 hours. I can do it in hour and half with my new one. And my backs not killing me when I finish.
But in a sad state of irony, the first time I mowed with it I finished up feeling good then hurt my back when garage door broke.Little Rock, AR
