Just a note- Of their briskets I'm partial to the "gold grade" as well. Everyone has different preferences but that is mine. You really can't go wrong with any of them brother fusion.Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

Thanks @sgh. I think I'm going to get a few more briskest under my belt before trying a SRF...maybe a superior from RD next...?

@fusionhq
This just my opinion but I would like to share it here. The best briskets to practice on are Walmart briskets. Why? They are cheap and low grade. When you can turn out good brisket with these then you can turn out excellent brisket with higher end ones. Just my thoughts brother fusion.Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

I remember my Tenth. She got a new diamond and I got a new set of Pings.... SO many years ago. Good luck with both of yours.Biggreenpharmacist said:Awesome!! Coming up on our 7 year next week, so may call for a SRF. She prefers filet, I'm a ribeye guy!
Thats a good idea! My ten year is the 18th, I may do the same. Thanks.XL BGE - Indianapolis, IN -
Im gonna go with a diamond for her. I trick her into not getting me much as far as gifts. Im one of those guys who goes and gets something if I really need/want it. If I really outdo her on gifts she's less apt to say anything to me when I buy something.

@sgh my first was a choice costco and I thought it was pretty good. Learned a lot since then and want to try a little better piece!

@fusionhq
By all means my friend. I was just suggesting when one wants to practice or experiment to use the Walmart ones. I'm running another test tomorrow with a Walmart brisket myself. And guess what I'm cooking after that if all goes well. A SRF!!!!!Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

It's sad. Our Winn Dixie says they are "the beef people" but cannot get anything but choice.

@Biggreenpharmacist Saw a choice at the market for $4.99/lbs last weekend.
-
There was one at store tonight for 89.95. I didnt look at the weight. Probably 12-14 lbs. if i guessed. Whole pork loins were 1.89/lb so i went that route. 20 bucks for a pork python WAY better than a brisket I'm
Bound to screw up anyway.Little Rock, AR
