    I was challenged and did it, then challenged a few myself. But i was dissappointed after i saw a video stating that the ALS public financial statement said that only 8% of money raised for 2013 actually went towards research. 10% went towards salaries of the charity officials, and 18% went towards fund raising. Don't get me wrong 8% is better than nothing, just wish it was more.

    Just what a video was stating, not a fact that i looked up or confirmed myself.

    I don't think that's accurate. Here's the breakdown for last year for the association: http://www.alsa.org/assets/images/publication/fye2014.jpg About a third goes towards research. Another third goes toward public education, and a significant amount goes toward patient services. I read elsewhere that they have a four star rating as a charitable organization. I think this is a pretty safe bet.

    According to Charity Navigator, over 72% of the money raised goes to programs and services. Ranked 4 out of 4 for charities. http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=3296

    I wasn't knocking them. Read my post i said that i had not confirmed or researched, just what i saw on a video. I did the challenge, and just happy that people are donating.
