    Yes Gary , thanks !
Also I did end up getting another SS cap but decided to give it to a friend of mine instead .
Because I covered my deck it would only be cosmetic and I also find that the SS is harder to control temps .
    But it does look cool

Interesting comment about temp control with the SS cap.  I'm thinking it may be more than just trying to match the total size of all vent openings, perhaps top venting vs. side venting plays a part too?

Yeah , it works and works well , but until you get it locked in it can be a pain , I turn my back for a minute and the temp jumped  50

That's funny to me too. The SS cap is much easier for me to control than the DFMT. It may have something to do with the gasket on it.

I am not saying that its not easy to control but i have found a couple times that the temp spikes up so quickly .

I still use it all the time

Please don't misunderstand me, I didn't mean funny, just wondering if top vent vs. side vent would require significantly different vent setting.  I don't have my SS cap yet.

    Beautiful indeed, now I'm jealous/tempted.

Poor eggs, they've to share the Smokeware cap :((

As for photos, hope you don't mind me saying, try taking pictures again during the day ... since you're facing a back-lit situation, try increasing the exposure level and/or use the flash.  The same technique applies when taking pic of cooks under heavily shaded tent at eggfests.

    ;)

edit: I'd rather be a more decent cook than photographer, serious.
@pantsypants the flash is the bright thing that goes off when you take a picture. =))

Pantsy, "The company that makes them is called Southern Specialties". Did you buy from them or go thru a dealer?

I went through a rep and a store . it was a great experience dealing with my local Egg shop ( Dicksons BBQ, these guys are the best ) . The Rep Phil whom I had met at Toronto Eggfest was also amazing and beyond helpful .

Pantsypants "it was way to expensive for me" From my homework on tables, the Southern powder coated tables are more expensive the the all stainless that I pictured. Curious what the price was on your two tables total?
