This reminds me I need to get on the stick. We need to replace our deck that is weather exposed. Thinking of going with composite boards this time but, I'm not sure quite yet. Looking nice @hapster‌

This is 2 years old. Got quotes for Trex etc. they were at least 4x the cost as the pressure treated. Figured, at $500 every 2 years to maintain it should last for many years.

Officially on Vacation for the next 9 days, which means I'll probably end up working harder than I do in the office, and when I return to the office, my email alone will take 2 to 3 days to get through.

Deck is going to look great Hap, I replaced the stairs on my deck two years ago and probably going to have to do the whole thing next spring. But the deck is original to the house which is pushing 25 years old and I've gotten 8 years out of it since we owned the place so I figure not to bad.

I will enjoy going to my new cabin in the mountains, but I do have 3 dead trees worth of tree rounds I need to split for firewood and bunch of other things to do at the new abode.  I probably won't get to fish much as my son will likely be bringing dinner home everyday, but I can handle eating fresh trout for a week.

Deck should be good to go in the morning.

First coat, Mozart as I distracted him from watching the guys staining the deck, after the second coat had dried for a few hours, and just a little while ago under the lights.

Thanks... The lights have been there all along since the deck was built, I installed them before the rail cap went on so all the wiring would be hidden.
