Very nice outdoor islandI, I'm jealous. I've been looking at the BBQ Coach site too. Thing is finishing it cost more then the sub frame. @Logsend, if you don't mind about how much did it cost to build? Right now I am just going to get a SS prep table on wheels for around $120 tell I can afford to build my outdoor dream island.XL, WSM, Coleman Road Trip Gas GrillKansas City, Mo.

@Tspud1 what made you decide to go from what you have pictured above to all SS? Obviously I'm a SS guy. I absolutely love my egging table! So, I'm just asking because that's a real nice set-up you have pictured.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

@ladeback Well I never totaled it up actually, gulp. But the bbq coach sub frames came to ~$900 (w/shipping) for the three pieces I bought. Cement board is cheap, $10/sheet from Lowes. AirStone is $50/box from Lowes, I used 4 boxes. The SS cabinet was another $500. I used a lot of granite, that was by far the big ticket item.

@NPHuskerFL I couldn't ship the stone table with out a lot of crating, fees and damage. Stainless fabrication is what we do so future went that way. Eggheads gave input on what they wanted. If possible I'll try it within reason. Here is one I did right after that with a grill, fridge and granite tops. What kind of table do you have? I ended up taking the grill out and putting in a medium egg when I sold it.

@Tspud1 are you asking me what kind of table I have? Or was this a rhetorical statement? & aren't you a Husker yourself?LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

Great looking table. I really like the stone work and granite. I just finished building a table for my large and small with enough countertop for prep work and the mini. I went the cheap route and used concrete countertops and tile because I plan on relocating in a few years and the table (700-800 lbs) isn't going anywhere.
Any road will take you there if you don't know where you're going.

@NPHuskerFL, I was curious what kind of stainless table you had. You said you were a SS guy. Not a Husker. You might be thinking of BowHunr who posts a lot, he has a stainless table

I would agree...I've been dethroned.hondabbq said:I have to say, out of all the tables that I have seen built and posted on here, that has to be the nicest one to date. Good on ya for having the skillset and foresight to tackle the job. Make a couple of those a year and you got yourself a nice little side business. Im sure you could sell a couple a year at least.
I do have an outdoor kitchen idea that I'm planning I my brain though. :PJust a hack that makes some $hitty BBQ.... -
@Tspud1 yep I know @bowhunter is a Husker fan. For some reason I thought you were also. Anyways I digress. Ours was an old Pizza Hut prep table that we modified to an egg table. I guess I just figured you had already seen it.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

I hadn't seen that table. I kind of go in spurts on this site. Did you have the top plasma cut for the egg? Nice to see a prep table repurposed into an egg home.
