I must have been black listed, forum won't let me post unless I start with very little text and no pictures at all .... here we go again, divide and conquer ... posting now, more text and photos to be added ...I double-jumped on the CI pan seared chicken wagon, primed pans with lumps of chicken fat:coated chicken with duck fat from yesterdays sous vide confit, sorry no pictures before the birds were chopped up. hands down the best chicken from my eggs, thanks @nolaegghead:garlic, onion, green onion, capers:the best part of the chicken, for the cook:canuckland

That looks really good @skinnyV. This has turned into my favorite chicken too. I do on the egg with a bit of cherry thrown in right before I out the bird on. Smoke doesn't last long at 500 but you can tell it was there.-----------------------------------------analyze adapt overcome2008 -Large BGE. 2013- Small BGE and 2015 - Mini. Henderson, Ky.

I tried this tonight on a 4.25lb bird, freaking fantastic. Moistest bird ever, no pics. 5 years since this thread has seen the light of day - give it a shot if you haven’t.Love you bro!

I had to try this. Came out spectacular. I removed the chicken and cooked parboiled potatoes and carrots, along with an onion and a few pats of butter in the drippings. Best chicken dinner ever.Southeast Louisiana
