Anyone Doing 3D Printing? (OT)
I've been wanting to experiment with 3D printing but haven't pulled the trigger yet, anyone out there doing it? If so what printer are you using?

The Maintenance organization I work for just bought one, haven't had an opportunity to play on it. Santa didn't bring me one, so I ate his cookies. It amazes me that they're building body parts, with human tissue, with these things!:-O :-bd

Our public library (Chicago) has a lab that includes four 3d printers (3 Maker Bots and an Up Mini) as well as some other fun toys. It is worth checking whether that is an option in your area. We use the free website tinkercad.com to design stuff and just go to the library and pay a few dollars material fee to print.__________________________

I don't know if you've seen this, but it's a food 3D printer. I suppose if you're doing real technical cooking it could be useful, especially with confectionery.
