My brother was in the market for a new smoker/grill. I talked up the egg has best I could, I forwarded all my food pics, but he choose to get the Jim Bowie, from Green Mountain Grill (GMG). I was disappointed when he told me, I told him he'd be sorry. He said he partly made the decision because he thought he wasn't as good of a cook as me and the GMG would be more forgiving. I told him the egg makes me look better than I am. So I'm asking you to post your "best" cook pics, so my brother can see the mistake he made. Considering the 'Jim Bowie' is similar in price to a large and it only has a 2 year warranty, to me it should have been a no-brainer.

Must have been the technology that sold him on that grill/smoker.  I get that.   I do think he will regret a bit later.

Funny you say that, I looked at the GMG website and their video claimed you could bake pizza. Max temp in 500. Good luck, I don't think the GMG holds the temp like an egg.

Sorry to hear that. Looked at GMG awhile back and the whole thing looks kinda "not strong/thick to hold the heat." So, I figure I'm going "cave-style cooking" with charcoals - not relying on any electricity to do my cooks.

I don't want to bash other cookers; but the 2 year warranty would definitely bug me.  There are lots of moving parts on that cooker!

GMG only a pellet grill? BGE does it all with LIFETIME warranty. I'm with @hapster‌ no pizza for him. However, stick burners, gassers, pellet grills, etc etc have a specific propose. But, me personally I only desire my LBGE. There's no going back for me I've crossed over to the BGE darkside. :-P

To be fair... I can make a pretty damn good pizza over direct heat on the gasser if I have to.  Might need to post a direct-heat how to

I lasted about 2 minutes on the video, which was long enough to again feel great about my own wise choice to join the BGE ranks.  And now I've promptly forgotten what GMG stands for.

After watching these videos I am even more happy with my Big Green Egg, which I did not think was possible.Only an Idiot would fall for that cooking style.

Don't rub it in unless he can still return the GMG. The folly will come to light everytime he eats something egged at your place.

Dude, you need to grab a drink and keep watching until the end. Its f*cking hilarious. Like the part where he calls Kingsford briquets the expensive stuff. Or the slurred speech. or the eye rolling.  He would probably have a stroke if he saw the XXL and its price tag.
