Winn Dixie lump coal

I used the search feature but did not see any recent posts.  What is the consensus on Winn Dixie brand lump coal?

We still have a couple Winn-Dixie stores around here... Since they only operate in Florida, Bama, Louisiana, here in Georgia, and Mississippi, I doubt many forum folks have used their brand of lump. I know I haven't. Maybe someone will chime in soon for ya...

Its actually my favorite lump. Burns very hot and clean. Only draw back is it does pop a good bit but short of that its excellent. Been using it in my egg for 2 years and in other cookers for many many more. And you cant beat the price if you are in the winn dixie buyer club. Again i think it is as good as any and better than most. Give it a try brother and see what you think. I actually mentioned this lump when i first joined the forum and gave it high marks. Being new at the time i think most people just dismissed my advice on this lump but again i think its great. Hope this helps.

According to the Whiz, it is Natures - I like their mesquite.

follow down into the commentary section for the Winn-Dixie reference.

Way past your bedtime, no hurry-canes in the forecast, turn off the compressor and go to bed, find a cat to snuggle.

I ate a pulled pork and cheese grits at http://wednesdayatthesquare.com/ tonight from "Squeal", plus free beer (Bridget is a volunteer from her hospital (legit on the free beer!)).  And raw oysters.    French Quarter fest starts tomorrow, and people from Australia and out of state in town next couple days with dinner here on Fri. Plus work deadlines. Burning it from both ends.  I really need to go to bed, lots of work and cooking comin' up. Robot space cadet out.  Peace.  001010001010001  69
