@lousubcap: Thanks Frank. The beer is exposed to burning beechwood, lending a rich smoked flavour. Got the book after reading so much praise for it on this forum. I am not terribly deep into it yet, but sure am enjoying it to date. Am already thinking I’ll buy copies as gifts for friends and family. You got any fun bevies on the go?

Met up with some former colleagues at Weybacher this morning for the annual release of Sunday Morning Stout. Got our cases and then enjoyed a variant they had on tap, Sunday Canuckian Stout. It's SMS with added notes of maple and bacon.
