Firstly, Thanks for the tip TD.So...I maxed-out in Mo-Val. Picked up all that could fit in my Yaris (2). That Costco (Moreno Valley, CA) had 11 more as I left and they were hard to find, nobody paying them much attention except the Missus and I.When I'm not Eggin', I'm scootin' Eggin' and 'cueing from Temecula Ca; an hour from San Diego, an hour and five minutes from Palm Springs, and an hour and a half from Los Angeles (yeah, right. With THAT traffic?)

That's really cool. I'm glad I could help and I'm very happy you were able to find one...or two. you should have taken a bigger car so you could buy more!
Congrats,

That IS my bigger car! My other is a Vespa. This purchase took the edge off of me being too far from Chico Ca for a $300 med. BGE I saw on CL up there. Link posted elsewhere here in case some lucky sucka lives a bit closer... Seriously thanks for the share! When I'm not Eggin', I'm scootin' Eggin' and 'cueing from Temecula Ca; an hour from San Diego, an hour and five minutes from Palm Springs, and an hour and a half from Los Angeles (yeah, right. Would any of you have the costco part number for this item? I live in San Diego and for this price. It is worth the drive up. I wanted to check with my local costco here to do a search on how many more is left before making the trek up north. Thanks!!!

Here is the mini version of the komado kooker:
Very similar to my bubba keg, and that cooks just like my eggs. Anyway, thought I would post this as another option for people.

So-Cal the item # is 698886. Try Poway and Santee...they both had a few. Mo-Val is closer for me.When I'm not Eggin', I'm scootin' Eggin' and 'cueing from Temecula Ca; an hour from San Diego, an hour and five minutes from Palm Springs, and an hour and a half from Los Angeles (yeah, right. I have been tracking that one too for a while. In theory, it should have been a no brained,it's lighter tan a MGE and more grill space than a SGE. Price is excellent too. But, I felt differently after seeing it's big version at Home Depot. It's looks like a good product, just not for me. After using my LGE this summer, there's something that just 'feels right' about the big heavy lid. That big metal cooker just didn't feel right for me.Large BGE, Small BGE, KJ Jr, and a Cracked Vision Kub.

Thank you gogo. For the heads up

There's still plenty of 'em at $99 here in the NYC suburbs. Would buy one, but already have a mini BGE.
Does it come with a charcoal grate? The display model didn't have one.Mamaroneck -
Yes theres a grate. Everything but a cover....When I'm not Eggin', I'm scootin' Eggin' and 'cueing from Temecula Ca; an hour from San Diego, an hour and five minutes from Palm Springs, and an hour and a half from Los Angeles (yeah, right. With THAT traffic?)

Looks like a neat unit at a great price. If I had spotted one of these at our local Costco, I would have bought one, even though I do have a mini.
Unfortunately, I pulled up Costco's web site and, while they do list the full size grill, no listing for the Kub. Maybe they'll bring them back next season.

It's a test market by Costco. Only is NY and Ca. This info is directly from the Vision office in St. Louis, Mo. Costco has a exclusive on them and they wouldn't sell me one.Dan, Columbia,Mo.

The new char-smell is gone....I've lit, and used my Vision Grill KUB. No regrets. We prepared a delicious meal for two...an Asian-styled Bento box consisting of Teriyaki-Wasabi wings, sesame shrimp, grilled home-grown okra, coconut rice, Kamoboko, and home grown corn on the cob (I know...I said Asian "style", loosely interpreted)I know that "someday" a BGE Mini is in my future....and have no regrets for this purchase its the perfect size for two, and made for some very easy, tasty cooking. When I'm not Eggin', I'm scootin' Eggin' and 'cueing from Temecula Ca; an hour from San Diego, an hour and five minutes from Palm Springs, and an hour and a half from Los Angeles (yeah, right. Nice looking cook. Nice bento box too.
-
Great score for those that got one. One could hope this would make BGE drop the price on their MINI, but I wouldn't hlod my breath.
@Gogogordy fantastic looking meal. Love the bento box. What's the pin like thing on the front of the top dome that hangs down? Some kinda locking mechanism for when you shut it?

Thanks, the Bento boxes are fun, and make any meal a bit of an event. My wife got those for me for my birthday...we play Japanese Bento chef and Geisha server now (j/k) Im pretty good at Tempura now too, but fried foods are a real treat these days. That pin is some type of centering pin....unique to that manufacturer since their entire lineup has them. Dont quite undertstand the purpose but its there. When I'm not Eggin', I'm scootin' Eggin' and 'cueing from Temecula Ca; an hour from San Diego, an hour and five minutes from Palm Springs, and an hour and a half from Los Angeles (yeah, right.
