    Better searching (why not use Google's search tool?); auto photo resizing; formatting to work on mobile devices (iPad/iPhone/etc); when quoting, don't include all of the photos from the original post;

    A somewhat palatable search function, ditch vanilla, a few more forums to handle equipment threads.

    An events/calendar section would be cool.

    A vendors section- that way people that want to sell something can be on the up and up and post there.  Perhaps they have to pay to be on the vendor section.

    Accept spaces in mentions so we can give shout outs to @Little Steven and @The Cen-Tex Smoker

    (or, don't accept spaces in user names when people sign up and suggest they use _)

    I don't get the @whoever thing anyway. Is there a reason or a carryover from social sites?

    Yeah- I think it started on Facebook.  Just a way to give props to someone that links back to their profile.

    It will show up on your notifications, and if you are on line you will see a little pop up "so and so mentioned you in the thread"..

    That's really the only advantage I see.  If you are thanking someone (or cursing them or whatever) there is a better chance they will see it.

    Nice now, you know when someone is cursing you because inadvertently, they're notifying you as well.

    I don't care for Facebook either.  I had an account for a while but closed it.  Too many stalker ex girlfriends :).  I also hated the "tagging" feature, which appeared to be exclusively for my stupid friends to take a picture of me at 4 AM and then announce to the interweb what I look like after 10 Jager shots.

    There are a few people in my past that I really don't want to catch up with.

    It would be great to see this using a Forum platform instead of a newsgroup platform which would effectively fix every issue stated in this thread.

    Tapatalk support would be awesome too (and would come with most forum platforms)

    It would be nice to click on the "new comments" and have it take you to that part of the webpage.  That way when you see that new people commented on a subject you can just click the yellow notification of people that added comments and it takes you to that part.  make sense?
    Mine does now. When I click on a thread with new comments, it takes me to the last comment I read previously.

    I think it would be great to scroll back more than a few pages at a time. Sometimes I like to go back through the posts. Plus there's a lot of posts I haven't read.

    Nothing. Maybe someone can get it to a "contact us" at BGE. Brenda Miller was a moderator on here I heard but don't know for sure
