LED Lighting
I am in the process of staining and finishing my pecky cypress BGE table and would like to integrate some LED lighting. Has anyone used 120v LED lighting on their table or elsewhere? Where did you obtain the lighting from?

I have it on my boat and I think we bought it on Amazon. It's been outside for many years and still works perfectly.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

Thanks. I am looking for 120v...you probably have 12v on your boat. The problem with a problem is that you don't know it's a problem until it's a problem, and that is a big problem.

Those are adjustable any color and plug into 120V.

I have led rope lighting in my basement bar. Works great. I have it plugged into a switched outlet.Mark Annville, PA

I second the rope lighting!! I used 24' of green (of course!) rope lighting that wraps around both the LBGE and the SBGE. It looks fantastic at night. It is 120V.
Someday I'll learn how to post photos....I really want to post the "pychodelic eggs at night" :>)

Question... is this LED lighting for aesthetics only or for actual light as you cook?

IMHO they are for the look more than the function.

I have bought LED's for my boat from www.oznium.com, they sell a lot of applications for those "Fast & Furious" kids but I've installed lights in the cupholders of my boat as well as in my coolers. Once I finally decid to build my table I'll utilize their lights. The LED's pull such little power you can battery power some of them.

Sorry, I should have said that the green rope lighting I use, is strictly for "mood". (asthetics)
I use a table lamp (I'm under cover from rain) to switch on when I need real light to peek into the egg.

RajunCajun said I plan on using the LEDs to light up the inside of the cabinet and add a little bit of indirect "bling lighting" from the underside of the cabinet. Not sure how it will work out. In the process of doing the finish work.-Jody Newell (LBGE & a 36" Blackstone griddle).

Hi - For what it's worth, I purchased a LED lighting "tape" that may work for your needs. I have mine plugged into a switched outlet, powered by an old 12v wall wart.It won't bend, so I had to cut and resolder it to go around corners, and the solder joints were covered with a liquid electrical tape.

They have some neat strips at Home Depot. I'm about to start display cabinets for my hot sauce collection and that's what I would like to use

I added some of the LED strips to my outdoor kitchen. The EGG looks great! Hey work very well. Only issue is the tape does not bend around 90 degree corners. Had to cut the tape and splice with wires for all the corners. I then used a silicone over the soldered wires to protect the joint after I applied the tape to the underside of the counter top. Works very well.

Ebay is FULL of LED ropes, tapes and strips with LOTS of options including multi-color with the remote as shown above. They are very easy to install. You will need your choice of LED lights and a transformer to provide power from 110V. All are available there. Do a bit of research online as all of the LED strands seem to have choices on light intensity. Good luck!
