Small vs Mini - anyone tailgate with an egg?

I'm a Clemson Alumni - note my choice of screen name. I was looking at a mini for tailgating this fall but with only one steak capability, seems too small for practical use at a tailgate. What's the best size for a tailgate. I have two kids and a wife that tag along.

BGE makes a trailer-hitch attachment, I think it will haul the large. I know since you went to Clemson you have a trailer-hitch.

Sorry if this is a little sacrilegious this forum, but I'd consider something like this: http://www.lowes.com/pd_131712-49769-6719_?productId=3609214&site=shopLocal
Reason being: BGEs are expensive, heavy and prone to breaking when knocked over by a drunk football fan at a tailgate. Hence, not a practical tailgating solution. I wouldn't want to risk my precious in that type of environment! (my precious....yes, my precious)

The SBGE only weighs 65lb. Thats what I'm looking at for camping, or grilling at the in laws house. I think it should be large enough for a small dinner, and small enough to still travel. Or get a large and make your wife and kid sit in the back.

Love the review from BBQLifer that claims to own a BGE and then goes on to reccomend Briquettes (spelling? If it's not lump it doesn't matter)! Thanks, Mike "Live in such a way that if anyone should speak badly of you, no one will believe it."

I have a mini and a small and when camping or tailgating the small always gets the call. I love cooking on my mini and do so 2-3 times a week for my wife and I, but that extra real estate of the small comes in handy for larger groups.
